Peterhof

The Peterhof Palace is a series of palaces and gardens located in Petergof, Saint Petersburg, Russia, commissioned by Peter the Great as a direct response to the Palace of Versailles by Louis XIV of France.
Peterhof palace as I wrote in my previous post, is a must to see when you visit St Petersburg. It is a gorgeous array of palaces, gardens and fountains that are all gold coloured.
St. Petersburg is a stunning city and you have to choose what you want to cover in your vacation there. It has beautiful and very touristic spots to see. One month can also be less if you want to explore the city. There are lovely churches, gardens, palaces, museums and their spectacular metros. Peterhof is a UNESCO site. And you must do a day trip here. I suggest taking a boat trip to reach there. The gardens are majestic and huge and you can spend hours there. The Grand Palace tour is a must but photography and video are not allowed inside.
