Moscow Travel diaries

I am wearing a Uppada silk saree that you can buy from our website.
This gorgeous Uppada silk saree looks like ponduru because of its temple border and gold zari pallu. Colour - pigeon blue / greyish blue.
This is a single piece made customised. When team Sohum sutras gave ponduru khadi saree to Uppada weaver and asked to innovate on the lines of ponduru. He said he would not repeat it again because it was difficult to weave silk in this pattern. When it came off-loom, it had surprised us.

About Moscow

Must see places in Moscow

  • A visit to the Red Square

How to Plan: There is a direct Aeroflot flight from India to Moscow. You have to get your visa done beforehand. Russia’s currency is Rouble. If you are not taking a Russian sim and plan to work with your country sim, the google maps will not work. Instead of Uber, there is Yandex taxi. That does not work with an international number. Your hotel can call Yandex cab for you and let you know the price in advance. Language is a big problem. Very few people speak English. People are generally very helpful if you ask for directions etc. Be very careful of pickpockets.

Where to Shop in Moscow

Adjacent to the Vernisage is the Kremlin at Izmailovo ("Kremlin" is the Russian word for "fortress" so there are many kremlins in Russia.
