I had walked the ramp for a designer friend here earlier. Yesterday, a dear friend, invited me again. She runs KIIT school and Engineering college. The idea was to showcase different weaves of India from different states. I walked in my Kani saree. See more about Kani weaves here. It was a fun day spent amongst kids who showed us their projects, arts, crafts, robotics, seeing their dance performances, having delicious food that was cooked in-house by the students, walking on the stage in Kani saree with one of the students. Many thanks to Neelima for organising such a wonderful and grand event flawlessly. She herself is a saree aficionado and her sarees are always to die for. A most wonderful, caring and humble soul she is.
