My sister had just finished her Engineering degree and was leaving for her Master's degree in the USA. She planned a solo shopping trip to Jaipur. She decided that she would leave Delhi in the morning, reach Jaipur and spend a day there shopping, board the evening train and return back home to me at night. The whole day we were talking over the phone and she told me what all she was buying. She wanted to take some very Indian things with her to the USA.
When she came back late at night, she was exhausted from her all day trip. But she was also excited to show me what all she had shopped and she had bought some beautiful things- lehengas for herself, sarees for our mom and then she showed me a surprise gift she had got for me. It was a simple Kota Doria saree with delicate and intricate Gota Patti work. It was in beautiful shades of peach. I loved it. So here is the saree. It is about two decades old. You can also see me wearing the same here earlier.
Today I paired it with a Khun blouse
