Active resting

Rest in between the workouts, need not be passive. You can do active resting, where the heart rate does come down but you are still doing something. A little stretch, a little movement, is always better than no movement. Stretching and flexibility are crucial part of your workouts. An agile body, flexible spine makes you look graceful and young. One sign of aging is being inflexible.
