Lose weight doing chores at home

Earlier when women did not go to gyms and workout, they did all household work themselves and remained fit and healthy. There were less gadgets, no household help and less diseases and ailments. Women worked in fields, did washing, cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, etc at home. How can these things make you fit and keep you in shape?
First and foremost understand how you gain weight and how you can lose it. It is no rocket science. If you have normal hormonal levels and no other disorder, your calories of food intake should be less than the number of calories you burn through your exercise or daily chores to lose weight. It is not true that only running on treadmill and going to gym can make you lose weight. If you are not a morning person, if jogging makes you too tired, if treadmill is too boring for you, you can still shed weight by doing household chores.
