Bhajan maestro, Anup Jalota's wife, Medha, passed away in US following multiple organ failure. She was in a hospital in new Jersey for almost two months and had undergone numerous surgeries. On 25th Shabana Azmi had tweeted.
Medha is the niece of former Indian Prime Minister, Inder Kumar Gujral. She is survived by her husband and their 18 year old son, Aryaman. She was previously married to director Shekhar Kapur. Shekhar tweeted

Shabana Azmi said, that Medha's death made her understand how vital it is to donate organs, so that when you are dead, someone else may live on.
