Today, I am going to review the most expensive foundation- Guerlain Parure De Lumiere.
It is priced at Rs.3550/- and is available at Sephora.
Packaging: I got it in the cardboard box. The box seemed little tattered. That was a put off. I am sure, it was done so during import and shipping. I wish the company that imported it, was more careful in handling. Specially, because it is a premium and expensive product. Also Guerlain could have wrapped and packed it in cellophane to keep the box intact. Small thing, which costs nothing would have made a big difference.
Moving beyond the outer box, the small jar inside is definitely premium packaging. It was sealed with gold colored paper which had Guerlain logo on top. When I peeled that, there was another black plastic lid, again with a logo. The jar is made of heavy glass and has a nice black lid. It is exotic.
Product: It is a creamy foundation, that is easy to apply. You may use sponge or brush or apply it with finger tips. It spreads evenly and provides good coverage. It smelled good. It almost had a mild rose fragrance. It was not oily. The best part was that it stayed intact for hours ( 7hours) and came off easily and quickly when I washed my face at night. It did not make the skin look too shiny nor patchy. In fact, it gave a nice smooth glow and radiance.
I do recommend it. Presently, this is the best foundation that I have.
