Designer Atsu travelled North East, his hometown for inspiration and presented his collection which was effortless style. Elegant parkas and trench coats in Eri silk, layered over bold woven shorts and silk dresses. His prints amalgamated traditional angami, ao, lotha and sema shawls that offered graphic punch aand gave new global identity to these woven treasures. Nice feminine shapes, oversized muga silk shirts, paired with mizo woven silk pants or angami pencil skirts. Sleeveless tops and T shirts were belted and paired with sharp Manipuri woven shorts.
Sekhose seamlessly wove the soul and spirit of North East to global tapestry, perfect for atsu women who live in Nagaland and New York. It was a very wearable collection.
Yours Truly at the show.
