Have faith that everything will be alright

Unless you go from grumbling to gratitude in your life, unless you start considering yourself lucky, the seeds of misfortune will remain there. "I'm not lucky with money. I'm not lucky in relationships, not lucky with work." Pull all this completely out of your head. Destiny, Luck- Read my post about it here
Have faith in Him. He will set everything right for you. If it is not right, "to picture abhi baaki hai mere dost" (then there is still more to come my friend). This is not to say that have a laid back attitude in life and do nothing. In fact, do your endeavors but do not ever get dejected. Have an unfaltering faith in Him. We Indians believe in the theory of Karma (actions). We do our actions and leave the fruits of those actions to HIM.

"Cowardice asks the question - is it safe?
Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular?

But conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular; but one must take it because it is right".... Martin Luther king Jr.

My interview in Deccan Herald

Today is a World Heart day. My interview in Deccan Herald got published here on this link. This is what it says.

For those who feel the pangs often should follow a trick of carrying goodies with them, like high fibre biscuits, fruits and oats. One can also beat this lifestyle disease by following a strict exercise regime, says Kiran Sawhney, a fitness trainer.

“Youngsters should take stairs instead of riding the elevators and escalators or park their cars a few metres away from their office building, so that they can walk a bit. Nowadays, all of us lack exercise. Cardio-vascular exercises like aerobics, jogging, running and walking are great ways to make your heart fit.”

A normal heart beats 72 times per minute whereas it is nearly 45-50 beats in case of athletes. The lesser the number of heart beats, the healthy a heart is. “So, to increase stamina and endurance levels, one should take up more exercises which will strengthen it,” says Kiran.

Secret to being Happy always

Happiness is hard to define but most people are aware of whether they are happy or not. Many people believe that happiness is a form of luck and that some people are destined to be happy while others are destined to be unhappy. Are you truly happy? Do you even know what it means to be happy and what it takes to achieve happiness? Many people make the mistake of believing that they don’t deserve happiness and accept their unhappy state as their destiny. I am honestly a very happy person. I recommend following tips to be happy always

1. Live in the present. Do not sulk about the past. Do not live in your past glory too. Past makes you sad, angry, guilty. Also do not live in future. It will make you anxious, it will give you expectations and fear. Live in present moment and you will be happy always.

2. Have passions, hobbies, interests that will make you happy. Read about it in my post here and here. Without them you will be lifeless.

3. Learn to love. Love everyone around you but first and foremost love your own self. Then happiness will never leave you.

4. Meditate. Meditate everyday. I also highly recommend doing Art of living course. And you will be blissful.

5. Have no expectation. Expectation kills joy.

6. Do not be a football of other people's opinions. Do not live your life thinking what others will say or think about you.

What makes me happy?

1. Talking to my boys, my sister, my little nephew, my parents and few special friends.
2. Dancing. Doing and watching both. (More of doing I would say).
3. Blogging. Reading (books or online), writing.
4. Fitness- working on mine and my clients fitness. All my clients are gems. They are more of my friends than my clients.
5. Fashion- My own and my fashion line.
6. Meditation. When I connect to Him, I am so peaceful. Meeting Guruji also uplifts me.
7. Shopping
8. Traveling
9. Driving. I find it stress buster.
10. Learning new things. Specially a new dance form or enhancing the existing one.
11. Creating new things.
12. Good music
13. Receiving and giving presents.
14. Meeting a genuinely nice person (hard to find these days. But there are few that I know)
15. Receiving a nice email from a reader of my blog. They touch my heart.

What puts me off

Negative people, negative emotions, negativity, politics. I steer clear of that. There is no place for any of that in my life. I have thrown many such people out of my life and my life has always become better after I have done that.
Surprises also put me off.
