Stay clear of high and mighty blogs. Agree with you absolutely. Also, I stay clear of those blogs where the author do not reply to the readers' comments.
I very much enjoyed reading the five things you've learned about blogging. I too have been blogging since 2008 (although I never tried to publicize my other blog and accordingly don't have many readers). This new blog has been an interesting learning curve so far, and reading your article was a good reminder of what's important...
