Fashion Blog

I am a fitness trainer by profession. But I also have few more feathers in my cap. I passed out from NIFT and also hold a private pilot's license. I did always have a flare for fashion. In fact, interestingly, I belong to a family where everyone was either a doctor or an engineer (very typically stereotype you see). And I was of course expected to choose one of the two professions (more emphasis was to be an engineer). I did take up science but soon told my dad that my heart was in fashion. He was quite aghast (read disappointed). But I did finally do what I wanted to do (much against his wish).
That's another story (which I shall blog about some other time) as to how I again changed my career and became a successful fitness trainer (and did not pursue my career in fashion).

Anyways, to cut the long story short, of late, in the world of blogging, I had kind of ran out of ideas on fitness (or maybe got a bit bored) and was inspired to write my own fashion blog. I contemplated between starting a new blog or write on my present one. Then today, it struck me, what the hell, it is my blog and I am free to write whether on fitness or fashion or life or whatever. So I am merging my own fashion blog with my fitness blog.

To start with, let me describe my traditional taste. I only like very classic stuff. I cannot and just cannot stand those heavy embroideries of sequins and trash. I appreciate weaves. I like to collect sarees. They hold immense value for me. And my very favourite colours are white, gold and fuschia. I would very rarely wear a saree which is black (don't have even one of black), or brown, or yellow or green. Whites would definitely have a majority in my saree collection. Especially in my Art of Living sessions, I enjoy wearing my whites. So here is one of my Banarasi white saree (it is called Shwetambari). These saris are basically available in four colours namely nilambari (blue), shwetambari (white), pitambari (yellow) and rakthambari (red).

Saree: My in house weavers.

I wanted to pose very regal here.

My white sandals are from Louis Vuitton

The baju band (Arm band) is from Tarun Tahiliani.

Jewellery- My dad is a jeweler. So I buy all my jewellery from him.

Watch- Anne Klein. I love this watch. It goes well with my ethnic attire. The antiqued goldtone finished charms include a key, leaf, tree, clover, flower, a heart-shaped locket and “AK” logo individually embellished with Swarovski crystals and/or faux pearls.

Location Courtesy-  Wedding in Goa.

  1. It is great to see you blogging again. Good pick i.e. fashion, especially coming from a fashionable person like yourself. I hope to see suggestions on fashion sense for different body types in one of your posts.
And, may I say (again!) that you look very pretty in this sari and accessories.
